Description
The streets of the Paraguayan capital bear witness to the legacy of Jose Asuncion Flores (1904-1972), the traditional Guarani music that has made the Creole and Guarani languages visible and that has now been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
A few months before the 100th anniversary of the creation of this rhythm in 1925, the murals, museums and sounds in Asuncion celebrate its "resistance" and "insistence" to become part of the Paraguayan culture, overcoming the censorship during the dictatorships. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
