Description
Cameroonian President Paul Biya calls for "urgent action" to deal with the "worrying" economic situation in Central Africa's Economic and Monetary Community (ECCAS), as he opens an extraordinary session of the regional union in the capital Yaounde. "If nothing is done, according to various experts, we could face disastrous consequences for both our countries and our sub-region", said the 91-year-old strongman, who has been in power for 42 years and is the world's oldest head of state.
