Holding dolls and wearing wigs, people in Quito run a costume race that echoes an Ecuadorian tradition held every year on December 31,  which originally consisted of men disguised as widows mourning the end of the year. "In Quito, and in Ecuador as a whole, we have a lot of traditions, and this is one of them that we sometimes forget," says Luis Torres after running the Widows' Race.
