Renewal and survival is the theme of the African National Congress's 113th anniversary celebration event in Cape Town. Thousands fill the Mandela Park sports facility to celebrate and listen to speakers, including party chief and the country's president Cyril Ramaphosa. Ramaphosa guaranteed supporters that the ANC has not changed its values but used the setback of the 2024 election results to implement a tactical move in renewing the party.
