Description
Austria's far-right leader Herbert Kickl says that he had agreed with the conservatives on a joint roadmap to cut spending by 6.3 billion euros in a bid to avert an EU deficit procedure. The announcement comes after the far-right Freedom Party (FPOe) -- which topped September national polls for the first time ever -- last week kicked off negotiations with the conservatives to form a new government. "We have taken a fundamental decision and developed a joint roadmap to avert an EU deficit procedure against Austria," Kickl tells a press conference alongside OeVP leader Christian Stocker.
