"We waited until it was all white before coming" says a student from Alger as visitors head to the mountains in the Chrea area, 70 km south of the capital Algiers, following a heavy snow storm. Heavy snowfalls have been recorded in several regions of the country since the beginning of the week and the National Meteorological Office has put several regions in central and eastern Algeria under "Orange" weather watch for this weekend.
