Wafa Mustafa had long dreamt of reuniting with her father in Syria, but her homecoming was tarnished by his absence, more than a decade after he disappeared in ousted President Bashar al-Assad's jails. Ali Mustafa is among more than 100,000 people who vanished in Syria's notorious prison system, with relatives flocking home after Assad's toppling last month in search of answers about their loved ones.
