Description
While normal life partly returns to Goma markets, schools in the eastern DR Congo city remain closed, days after it fell to the Rwanda-backed M23 armed group. The provincial capital of North Kivu and its one million inhabitants are gradually recovering from days of intense fighting between the Congolese army, supported by armed militia Wazalendo groups, and M23 fighters.
