In the military camp of Port-Bouet, near Abidjan, Ivorian and French soldiers are doing final military exercises and briefings, a few days ahead of the official handover of the base to Ivory Coast. "This is a necessary development, desired by our presidents," says Colonel Damien Mireval,the French defence attache in Abidjan. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
