‘I've been living here for almost 17 years. And I've never seen my garden like this in the aftermath of a cyclone,’ laments Jean-Christophe Hoarau, a farmer in Réunion. He grows melons and cucumbers in greenhouses. The rest of his produce comes from his garden. After the cyclone, all his fruit trees were destroyed. He is now left with only his greenhouse crops.
