A first group of injured and sick Gazan children accompanied by a parent leave for Jordan through the Kerem Shalom crossing to receive treatment under an initiative organised by the World Health Organisation. "My grandson, he's one and a half years old, he was born with a heart problem, he has a hole in his heart and it hasn't closed ... thank God, he was accepted for treatment in Jordanian hospitals," says Zaher Al-Masri.
