"I think that political influence from the outside is completely wrong...I think it's quite desperate, to be honest, to have an influence from the US president on the election here in Greenland," says Aaja Chemnitz, one of two Greenland representatives in the Danish parliament and a member of the island’s ruling left-green Inuit Ataqatigiit party. Her comments come after a post from US President Donald Trump on his social media platform Truth Social late on Sunday, saying to Greenlanders that the US is "ready to invest billions of dollars to create new jobs and make you rich".
