Women in Bangladesh took to the streets of Dhaka to protest against rape and violence following several recent cases of sexual harrasement that have garnered public attention. Since ex-premier Sheikh Hasina's exit, the hardline religiously fuelled Islamist movements that her government had driven underground has resurfaced. Much of it is directed at women, accused of failing to act with sufficient modesty.
