Description
Syrian Kurdish women demonstrate in northeastern Syria's Qamishli in protest against a new constitutional declaration, which they say does not meet the aspirations of the country's minorities. "We don't accept this constitution, we want a constitution for all members [of society], Kurds, Arabs and Assyrians, because we have shed a lot of blood on this land," says one protester. Experts have warned that the declaration, which has been signed into law, concentrates power in interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa's hands and fails to include enough protections for minorities.
