Description
The weather will be quiet today, but the clouds will stick around. A warm front is pushing into the area, which will deliver warm weather today and tomorrow.
A cold front slides through the area on Tuesday, delivering a round of showers in the morning.
Temperatures take a slight dip on Wednesday, but still remain above average. There is a slight chance of showers Wednesday, especially east of I-71.
Our attention quickly turns to our next weather maker which slides through the area Thursday morning.
You may see on the weather app on your phone the snow icon on Thursday. This is a real possibility given the pattern.
Let's iron out a few details.
Yes, snow is possible, but we will not see a lot of it. Forecast models indicate, at the very most, snow showers could accumulate to less than 1". This would be either a snow or rain event. In other words, sleet and freezing rain (i.e.. icing), are low probabilities now.
The limiting factors pertaining to snow accumulations are that the soil is still warm, precip rates per hour will be low, and the snow will be off and on throughout the day. All these factors limit the chance of snow accumulation. Nonetheless, it is still a talker!
The frigid cold sets in for Thursday and Friday, with the coldest air of the fall so far!
