Description
The Democratic National Convention is kicking off just four weeks after President Joe Biden shuttered his campaign and made way Vice President Kamala Harris to ascend to the top of Democrats’ ticket.
The first lady Jill Biden used her speech before the Democratic National Convention to pay tribute to her husband President Joe Biden as a man who has repeatedly moved her over their decades of marriage.
“Joe and i have been together for almost 50 years and still there are moments when i fall in love with him all over again “ the first lady said, recalling him hold their daughter Ashley after her birth and again "just weeks ago, when i saw him dig deep into his soul and decide to no longer seek-re-election and endorse Kamala Harris.”
She also praised Vice President Kamala Harris’ courage and urged Americans to get behind her.
Jill Biden said. "it's going to take all of us and we can't afford to lose.”
