Description
Former President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, has been chosen to serve as a Florida delegate to the Republican National Convention.
The Republican Party of Florida said he will serve as one of 41 at-large delegates from Florida to the national gathering.
Associated Press reporter Adriana Gomez Licon says that Barron Trump has been largely kept out of the public eye, but he turned 18 in March and is graduating from high school next week.
“Barron Trump has been kind of private, doesn't necessarily attend many of the events or joins the campaign. So, it will be interesting to see how he now enters the political scene, interacts with other members of the party, with members of the Trump campaign," Gomez Licon said. "I think this signifies the support that former President Donald Trump has from his family for most of his children to join as members of the Florida delegation at such an important event, which is the Republican convention.”
Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany, are also part of the Florida delegation.
The Republican convention is taking place in Milwaukee from July 15 to July 18.
