Description
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning. This applies to San Diego County inland valleys, mountains and now the desert from Wednesday morning to Friday night. A Heat Advisory has also been issued for coastal and metro cities in San Diego County. This alert will go in effect Thursday morning through Friday night.
"My air conditioner is going to be running 24/7 without a doubt, no regrets on that," said El Cajon mom Alysia Diego. She brought her two children to Santee Lakes Park.
By 11:30 a.m., the temperature was 90, and expected to climb to 94 by Wednesday afternoon.
"With having younger kids, my preparation is to get them out earlier because we're not going to be out later," said Diego.
"It's insane," said mom Alyssa Wenhold. "It's been really hot the past couple days. I thought it was fall already but it appears we are still in summer. I'm ready for winter, I'm ready for the snow!"
