The San Diego County Fair came to a close on July 7. Tristan Hallman with the fair said attendance has stayed pretty similar to last year's numbers. "We're seeing about what we saw last year in attendance, we're two days shorter than we were last year, so our total number will be a little down, but what we are seeing is people staying and really getting their value for their dollar here," said Hallman. Daily attendance averaged around 45,000 people per day — comparable to a sold out Petco stadium daily. Wednesday and Thursday has the most traffic each week which Hallman told CBS 8 is because promotions tend to fall on those days.
