Description
April 25, 1967 San Diego was getting an NBA team and sports anchor Lyle Bond was the first to see the name--The Rockets. General Manager Bob Breitbard unveiled the name and logo. Head coach Jack McMahon was there too--both clearly happy and excited San Diego was getting a new professional basketball team.
