The San Diego Police Department is advising the public to avoid southbound Napa Street between Friars Road and Gaines Street due to a police investigation. The San Diego Police Department said around 11:00 a.m. at least one officer opened fire on a man wielding a knife. SDPD also reported that he was assaulting another person and then tried to run away.
