The man accused of threatening to shoot up Shoal Creek Elementary School in Carmel Mountain Ranch last December appeared in court Friday morning. The preliminary hearing for Lor Lee, 38, was supposed to go forward. However, his new public defender was not able to appear in court on his behalf. Therefore, the defense requested his hearing be postponed. "The people are opposed to this continuance," said Deputy District Attorney Savanah Howe. "We were not aware until this morning that there would be a continuance and a new public defender would be assigned. I have several witnesses in the hallway ready to go," she added.
