People in the Bird Rock community are speaking out after finding spray painted signs on the streets with a message to drivers to slow down. Residents are calling them mystery signs as they don’t know who is spray painting the streets. People driving along the intersection of Waverly and Bird Rock Avenues will find the words “Slow Down” spray painted. Residents say the signs started popping up about three weeks ago. "Some people are more upset than others I guess is safe to say," said Joe Terry, president of the Bird Rock Community Council. Residents have mixed feelings. Some acknowledge not all drivers are following the rules but say putting graffiti on the streets isn't the way to get the message across.
