He derives his musical inspiration from his father who was a musician for Tito Rodriguez and El Conjunto Capaseti. Hector's musical career began when he joined La Orquesta Dax Pacem at 17 years of age. That same year he launched his first record with them. He has performed with renowned Salsa artists such as Ray Barreto, Hector Lavoe, Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colon, Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Ismael Rivera, and many more. Hector founded La Orquesta Conciencia when he moved to San Diego, California, and created several recordings with the group. Now, he is delighting audiences with his original compositions and his unique singing voice. • John Saltus – Michael John Saltus, a versatile champion and Navy upbringing beneficiary, cultivated adaptability early on. His farm upbringing instilled discipline and hard work, complemented by gym dedication, enabling him to excel in multiple high school and college sports. Discovering salsa as his ultimate dance match, he co-founded Positive Energy Dance Company with Camille Yonnantuono in 2001, elevating himself to the forefront of San Diego's dance scene through teaching, performing, and hosting workshops in diverse dance genres for over two decades.
