An East County truck driver is making national news tonight. CNN is airing his cell phone video of migrants crossing the border on his property near Jacumba. CBS 8 spoke to Brian Silvas about what he’s seeing along our Southern border. Working as a truck driver in Lakeside and living near the border in Jacumba, Silvas never expected to make national news, until a CNN reporter showed up at his door doing a story on immigration. “CNN came out there and they talked to me, wanted to interview me. So, I said, sure. Yeah, come on. They come and stayed on the property and saw where they're coming through and everything,” said Silvas.
