Description
People living in Pacific Beach say a historic home that was recently refurbished is once again in disrepair. The property on Grand and Jewell made headlines in 2020 when it was sold for nearly $1 million.
CBS 8 first reported on the home in 2020 when it was put on the market for $1 million. It was built in 1906 at a time when there were only 125 residents in PB. But the property wasn't properly cared for over several decades and turned into an eyesore. A developer purchased the property, and spent another $250,000 fixing it up. In 2021, he gave CBS 8 a tour to show off the final product.
At the time, Ramin Karimi said he planned to make the house an Airbnb and possibly add a coffee shop on the property.
Residents told CBS 8 they are concerned the owner of the property has stopped improvement efforts into the property.
