Today marks the 2-year anniversary of a deadly plane crash in Santee that claimed the life of the pilot and a UPS driver. Wednesday morning, a woman wearing a UPS shirt placed yellow flowers at the scene. "It just shook [the neighborhood] so bad," said neighbor Debbie McCaw. She lives near the site of the crash near Jeremy Street and Greencastle Street. "My neighbor next door ran out to get Maria out of her house, and the other neighbors broke down the fence to get Phil out of the backyard."
