Ami Cisneros (San Diego, California): Ami hails from San Diego and specializes in California-style barbecue with Mexican influences. Growing up in a Mexican family, food was always at the forefront of her gatherings and is a big part of her culture and identity. After attending the San Diego Culinary Institute, she cut her teeth in smokehouses throughout Southern California. Today, she’s the proud chef and owner of El Barbecue, where she infuses classic California dishes like Santa Maria style tri-tip with her Mexican flair.
