A South Bay plastic surgeon already facing criminal charges stemming from the death of a patient pleaded not guilty today to a newly filed murder charge. Dr. Carlos Chacon, 48, was charged along with one of his nurses in late 2021 with involuntary manslaughter and other charges in the death of Megan Espinoza, a 36-year-old mother of two who died more than a month after undergoing a breast augmentation operation on Dec. 19, 2018.
