Ila Darafshandar is a dancer and founder of Ila Dance Academy. Global day of dance for freedom is a day for people to show support for Iranians who cannot dance. Darfshandar is a member of Mantreh dance group in Tehran, a prestigious dance group in Iran that performs for charities, embassies, and international dance festivals. She has performed at some of the most distinguished halls in Tehran including Talar-e-Vahdat and Farhangsara-e-Niyavaran. As a choreographer she has also worked with theatre directors in Tehran.
