SDSC Pumpkins
The annual Pumpkin Panic sponsored by Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority at State College was held yesterday in the quad. Students were invited to show their carving skill on pumpkins. Pumpkin pies were awarded the best carvers in a number of categories. While the knives were busy, Alpha Gam pledges were collecting donations from spectators for the cerebral palsy fund. The sorority provided decorative materials for the 30 pumpkins entered in the contest. Funniest went to Adrian Lenain. Ugliest…Tom Deveroe. Most original pumpkin creation…Leo Crawford. The most beautiful was carved by the Dean of Admissions, Dean Melvin Anderson.
Trick or Treat
Our cameraman was standing by at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Elliott when some children came to call. What with window decorating contests, school carnivals, and trick or treaters at most homes, the amount of neighborhood vandalism was held down.

At Washington Elementary School, children had a costume parade, masquerading in styles in which their parents probably hope they don’t become accustomed. Other events include carnivals, games, spook shows, and potluck dinners. The purpose is fun and the prevention of vandalism.
Some mighty scary looking masks!! (I wrote that)
