March 20, 1974
Prince Charles tours Rohr Industries in Chula Vista, California. On a rainy day in San Diego County, the Prince of Wales rode on an elevated monorail called Monocab. He seemed genuinely interested in the aero train which had a power conditioning unit made in Stafford, England. The prince arrived in San Diego on March 15 on the HMS Jupiter. He was a lieutenant in the Queen’s Navy and served as a communications officer. They left San Diego on March 21st.
