Description
A three-time convicted killer who was scheduled to be released this week is now staying in prison, and in an exclusive TV interview with KING 5 Tuesday, the victims' daughter shared her reaction.
"We're beyond thankful that Governor Ferguson looked at the entirety of the file," said the daughter Kelly Dowell Tarp.
For years, Dowell Tarp is among the victims' family members who fought to keep Timothy Pauley in state prison, and now their efforts are paying off. After meeting with the victims' family this week, Gov. Bob Ferguson decided to cancel Pauley's planned early release.
"Governor Ferguson extended the invite so that we could be heard," said Dowell Tarp. "We did not give him any new evidence. We did not give him any documents. We did not do anything. We told him what our experience has been."
