Police are investigating a shooting in Seattle's Pioneer Square that left one man dead and a woman injured overnight. According to the Seattle Police Department, officers were dispatched to a reported shooting at around 1:30 a.m. in a parking lot in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue South. Arriving officers reportedly found a 40-year-old man in his car suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene despite life-saving efforts. Police said they were notified of a 23-year-old woman who had arrived at Swedish Hospital with a gunshot wound shortly after responding to the shooting in Pioneer Square.
