Description
The 22-year-old man who hit and killed two men on Interstate 5 in Seattle last year was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison.
Prosecutors said Antonio Lopez fled to Mexico after the February 2023 crash that killed 34-year-old Skyler Thornton and 38-year-old Terrell Aaron. The two victims were cousins.
Lopez was found guilty of two counts of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and hit-and-run. For the two counts of vehicular homicide, he was ordered to serve 89 months; for vehicular assault, he was sentenced to 57 months; and for the hit-and-run charge, he will serve 120 months. The charges will be served simultaneously.
