Some Mercer Island residents remain in a shelter-in-place order due to hazardous road conditions in the wake of a bomb cyclone that knocked out power for hundreds of thousands of people in western Washington on Tuesday night. The City of Mercer Island notified residents Wednesday afternoon that people living along the 4200 to 4600 blocks of East Mercer Way and between the 7400 to 7800 blocks of Island Crest Way should stay home and shelter in place. The shelter in place order for East Mercer Way has been lifted.
