Description
The 19-year-old man charged with murder after allegedly stabbing another man to death inside a Renton apartment is back in jail.
K'Shawn K. Jimerson was booked into the Maleng Regional Justice Center for second-degree murder after previously posting bond and being released from custody the day after he was arrested. Bail was set at $500,000 after prosecutors requested bail be set at $2 million.
On Thursday, Oct. 3, Superior Court Judge Johanna Bender said there was a "substantial amount of information" that wasn't available when bail was initially set for Jimerson. That includes prosecutors arguing that new evidence from the autopsy revealed stab wounds that would refute a self-defense claim.
