Description
Unseasonably hot temperatures are sticking around for the first part of this week, approaching or surpassing daily temperature records in many areas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Hot and dry conditions are expected to intensify, with high temperatures expected to increase from what was seen over the weekend on Monday and again into Tuesday.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect for much of western Washington until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, with afternoon temperatures potentially up to 100 degrees in some areas, and overnight lows only dropping into the 60s, meaning there is little overnight relief from warm temperatures.
