Description
The City of Edmonds is warning homeowners about a fake letter that has been delivered to multiple addresses recently.
The letter claims that the Biden administration suspended "private property ownership rights to establish emergency housing due to the migrant crisis," and that the Edmonds City Council "has passed a resolution establishing boundaries of temporary housing for the next 12 to 36 months."
One letter to a homeowner states a portion of their front yard has been claimed for temporary housing for a family of eight. It asks the homeowners to move their vehicles from their driveway, otherwise they will be towed. The letter also states the homeowner must provide extension cords for electrical needs.
