Description
During the sixth week of the trial for the death of Manuel Ellis, jurors heard from police use-of-force expert Jack Ryan, who said it was a "totally inappropriate response" for officers to sit on Manuel Ellis' back while he was handcuffed, face down. The state also rested their case and the defense is expected to call their first witnesses next week.
Former Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist and criminal defense attorney Sarra Marie weigh in on the case.
