Last October, Gus was in the hospital in Utah battling cancer when he was surprised by Blitz, his favorite team's mascot. On Oct. 22, Gus, who is now cancer-free, got to raise the 12 flag before a home game. He also met DK at practice the Saturday before, where he was named an honorary captain of the team. The Oct. 22 game's focus for fans will be raising awareness for early detection of cancer.
