Description
The Cascade Mountains are expected to get their first big shot of snow of the season this week as a storm moves through.
KING 5 has activated First Alert for this weather event, which could affect lives, property or travel in the Pacific Northwest region. During this event, the First Alert Weather Team will bring you the latest information to keep you and your family safe.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until Wednesday at 5 p.m. for the Cascade Mountains where 8-16 inches of snow could fall above 3,000 feet of elevation and 16-30 inches could fall above 5,000 feet of elevation. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Wednesday at 5 a.m. for the Olympic Mountains where 8-15 inches of snow could fall above 3,000 feet and 16-24 inches could fall above 5,000 feet.
