A 25-year-old woman was killed in a crash involving a forklift along Aurora Avenue at North 96th Street near Seattle's Licton Springs neighborhood on Tuesday. The man operating the forklift was arrested at the scene. Officers suspected he was under the influence of intoxicants. The crash was reported around 3:30 p.m. when multiple people called 911 to report the incident involving the forklift, an SUV and a landscape truck. According to police, the driver of the forklift entered Aurora Avenue from the west side of the street, traveling east until crashing into the SUV. The collision caused the SUV to collide with the landscape truck in the opposite lane. The two occupants of the SUV, the 25-year-old female passenger and 27-year-old male driver, were taken to Harborview Medical Center. The passenger later died.
