Haiti bans the passage of trucks with imports transiting the Dominican Republic to comply with a government measure that mandates that all these products enter through its own ports. "The measure that the Haitian government has just taken is one that harms the large masses of merchants, both Dominican and Haitian," says Noel Fernandez, President of the Dajabon merchants association.
