Five women who allege sexual abuse by Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed while employed as nannies and at his private airline were subject to "intrusive" medical checks, says the lawyer representing their legal claim against the estate of the former Harrods boss. "There were women who were abused throughout Al-Fayed enterprises which comprise Harrods, but other firms as well, and his sexual abuse of them occurred on an almost industrial scale," says Richard Meeran, whose firm Leigh Day is representing 27 of Al-Fayed's alleged victims.
