The Knox County Sheriff's Office released bodycam footage weeks after a man was hospitalized and died after being in county jail custody.
The Knox County District Attorney General's Office said on Jan. 23 that the DA would not ask state agents to investigate the death of David Batts, who died in the hospital a day after KCSO said jail staff hit and Tased him to get him to comply with orders as he was being booked into the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
