Federal and local officials are investigating after multiple drones were spotted flying in a North Texas city on Dec. 17, 2024. White Settlement police say they began receiving reports of multiple drones flying near neighborhoods in the city as well as near federal and military properties shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday. White Settlement is home to the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth. White Settlement Police Chief Christopher Cook said in a statement that officers saw drones flying near Bomber Road, Silver Creek and North Las Vegas Trail and they began working with staff at federal and military property to try to find the pilot. They responded to more reports of drone sightings shortly before 9 p.m. and shortly before 10:30 p.m., officials say.
