Description
A man accused of setting a man on fire on a New York City subway train is facing new charges.
Police say 49-year-old Nile Taylor committed a similar act in February 2024. This is video from that previous incident.
Taylor allegedly tossed a lit container of flammable liquid at a group of people standing on a subway station platform in Manhattan. Police charged him with attempted assault, reckless endangerment and arson.
No one was hurt in that incident.
In the attack from May 25, 2024, a man suffered burns to his upper body. Paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment.
Taylor is facing eight charges related to Saturday’s incident.
