Description
A former candidate for Fort Bend County commissioner pleaded guilty to charges against him. Taral Patel was accused of creating a fake social media account and using it to make racist attacks against himself.
The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office said in a release on Tuesday that Patel pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor misrepresentation of identity by a candidate. The DA’s office said in his plea, Patel admitted to committing one of the misdemeanors with Fort Bend County Judge KP George, who is also facing charges. Patel was a staffer for George.
