Two people are dead and another is in the hospital following a shooting outside a shopping center along Highway 290 near Fairbanks North Houston Road late Monday night. According to Houston police, the shooting appears to have stemmed from a domestic violence situation involving a woman, her ex-boyfriend, and her new boyfriend. Investigators said an unsanctioned car meet-up was taking place in the area when the woman’s ex-boyfriend showed up and shot her multiple times in front of a King Dollar store. Police said the woman’s new boyfriend ran through the parking lot, but the ex-boyfriend chased after him and shot him once. The gunman then reportedly returned to where the woman was and shot her several more times before turning the gun on himself, police said.
